Victory of the Angels

The devil lays defeated

but his evil stench

lingers,

rising from the deepest pit of hell

where the corpses of the damned

decompose to His enchantments.

Poets dragged to their doom

and bewitched by tales of fatherhood.

But he will be punished

for his gruesome misdemeanour

as the Angels radiate the light

that illuminates the truth

and the people of the Earth

see all of his evil deeds exposed.

And as the innocent call for his demise

they pray forgiveness for their doubts

and atone for forsaking our sweet Lord Jesus

and his divine guardians.

Our dear God forgives their weakness

as he casts the corpse of Lucifer back to Hades!

Nicely done. I always like the strong vibrant images in your writing. The only thing I wish had been here, particularly after the use of "light" and "illuminates" and "radiates" wold have been to use the translation of "Lucifer" at some point to highlight the true light from the false "light bearer" or "morning star".

If I have to be picky like that you know it was a well written piece.
