Belief

The songs of Hades

come choking

in our sleep.

They aim to strangle good

and leave death in their path,

till we are so full of hate

and paranoia

that we abandon hope.

But God has given us strength 

to hold fast to our belief

that man is good

and that he will inherit

this Earth;

even if it has dark forces,

so that we need to protect our faith

in human kind

and reject false images

that he has portrayed,

for we believe in the love  of man

and this is our sacred creed!
