My interest was piqued by the title, but I'd really like to have an idea what this book will be about. (Not that I won't be reading, just that I'm reading many things right now and probably won't get to this until later. Sad face.)

It takes place in the fantasy world of Elfin where two dominate races of elves are at war: high elves and drow. For the most part, high elves are peaceful, kind, and protect the balance of nature. High elves usually have fair skin with pale blonde hair. Drow, on the other hand, have dark charcoal colored skin with white or black hair. Their irises range from demonic purple to blood red. Drow prefer the dark and hardly ever see the light of day.
Between the races, some elves have a genetic mutation which allows them to have supernatural abilities that are unstable and unpredictable. These are called Magi Elves. Magic is utterly forbidden in this world, and the consequence, if discovered, is death.
So basically, the main character is a young high elf who has a dark secret, and the only thing that will release her from her curse, is to travel to the Human World.
