My Love, Thomas

A poem I wrote thinking about my amazing boyfriend, Thomas.

Hurtful words,

painful memories,

filling my soul,

I need him,

I want him,

but I can't have him,

not yet,

the time will come,

one day,

when I will have him back,

awaiting that day,

to hold him in my arms,

to whisper in his ear,

the sacred words,

i love you,

to kiss his lips,

to hold him close,

closer,

to touch the delicate skin,

never letting go,

ever,

but not yet,

until that day,

i sit in silence,

waiting for the time to come,

my love,

the one i love,

i miss you,

thinking about you at all times,

never forgetting your kisses,

your beautiful smile,

the happyness i get when i see you,

it fills me to the core,

i hold onto it tightly,

knowing some will leak away,

when you have to leave,

but knowing you will come back,

makes it worth it all,

so until that day,

i wait for you,

for the time to act,

loving you always,

never forgetting the feelings for you,

they could never go away,

like the black of the night,

the blaze of the sun,

never ceasing,
