Poisoner of Love

Poisoner of Love

A Poem by Amy Beth Storey

Whispers through the night
And heartbeats in the morning as the sun comes up
This was our mistake to make
And now we’ll fall apart today
But the night was a memory to fade to black

Poisoned love never felt so good
And you poison me,
Watch me die
I’ll die in your arms,
Die for you
Poisoner of Love

Screams echoing over the stars
And tears today from the mistakes last night
But this was all we had
So watch us fall apart tonight
I wish last night was a memory, a dream

Poisoned love never felt so good
And you poison me,
Watch me die
I’ll die in your arms,
Die for you

Poisoner of Love

This reads like a song. It is quite good. I can almost hear it in my head. The words are sad but beautifully so. Really fine work.
