maybe we were never more than a natural disaster.

maybe we were never more than a natural disaster.

A Poem by Sarah Wilson

And hey sweetie, I heard you're doing alright tonight.

But I can't shake the feeling that you're alone out there,

and I can't shake the feeling that there's a storm out there bigger than you and me.

So just take a second to look outside and remember

that there might not be anybody sitting beside you

but there's someone sitting in the same storm you are.

Whatever way the wind blows, it's blowing one of us to the other.

So take a second, step outside.

Remember that as long as you face into the wind,

I'll know you're there.

And you'll know I'm doing the same thing.
