Like Everything In life

Interpretation poem, I suppose it depends from where you view, this is from the poets point of view. It may have all but dissappeared but making way for the new is also a good thing too.

 

 

 

It’s how YOU!

Look at things.

 

She’s talking to herself at night

Trying to convince me!

 

That IT!

Will be alright.

 

He knew!

It wouldn’t

 

He knew!

She shouldn’t

 

But!

She did

 

And now she feels IT

Closing in.

 

He painted her

The pictures

 

Her past.

Her present doused

 

In quick sands

Waters falling down

 

To Imploding

Sea

 

Streaming inwards

Down….down….down and bloody.

 

Her!

Covered.

 

Head to toe

In responsibility,

 

And in she doth go.

Until everything gone.

 

Surges forcing her hopes,

Their dreams far away

 

Drowned. OUT!

Slaughtered

 

In her naïve ambition

To play happy families

 

To strive

For normality

 

To be pig ignorant

But happy.

 

To believe

His lie

 

To have

Her reality.

 

Free

Me

 

And

Her

 

Young

Family

 

Before!

Is closing in

 

But! Tomorrow

She will look

 

Through the door

Of life differently

 

Make some progress

And hopefully

 

Write

Some decent poetry.

 

But she won’t be going near the harbour

For a very long time.

This is different for me but also very interesting
I like how you SHOUT certain things and really give those
parts an exclamation, I believe it would lend itself to spoken
word, but it also is very visual
The tone of this is so sad to me, like you turned a blind eye to all the lies
and now see everything you missed and has passed by

love the way you wrote it. i think it gets better towards the ending though.

It's always nice to see hope form the final stanzas of a life-like poem. And in this one it is that hope that creates a complete picture of the subject. She would be so lacking without it...

Definetly sad, but also a time to rejoice for new beginnings can bring so much joy too.

But on another note, "To be pig ignorant But happy." What's that suppose to mean? Hmmmmm? LOL
