Maddening

In the shadow you hide,
Far from the incriminating light.
But I felt your presence
And I sense there's more

I think...
You're the one who creates my dreams,
our fantasy, your lore...

But what if...
You're just living in my imagination
I will surely go mad.
Since I was searching for hope,
And discovered self defeat.

So now...
I sit afraid to falter
And trying so hard to ignore
That mumble from the darkness
On the verge of insanity
There's nothing left to do.
