A Gift

A Gift

A Poem by Tarry Franck
"

Just because you don't see the pain outside of the person doesn't mean it's not happening on the inside. Most sufferers with such diseases, I pray that you we all be respected every day!

"
Moments of dementia
Race through my mind
Do I come or go?
Live or die?
However, I know
Life is a precious gift
Given to all
We must learn to stand
Instead of fall
Even sometimes stumble
Instead crawl
No matter what the situation may be
From it all, we live and learn
An no matter who or what labels us
We must never forget
We remain free.

I believe all of us will become weaker. Struggle to maintain is a lifetime goal. I like the purpose and the desire of the poem. A strong ending to the excellent poem.

Mental illness is still taboo in this country. Many more people suffer from some type of it than care to admit. Labels are always hard to live with, knocking that freedom on it's tush. Good write.

Yes I agree with these searching lines and do feel sorry for any people who are on the edge or feel on the edge of life.

Thank you kindly
you probably are too young to remember the group the fixx. 80's band. this write reminded me of their song "stand or fall" so it immediately struck a chord with me. wonderful write, full of deep thoughts which wax philosophical and true. i love it!
