Lonely Ramblings

Lonely Ramblings

A Poem by Tasteless Heart

Suffer in silence

Walking in this dark

Letting the truth sink in

Alone in my memories

Never this hard

When does the good begin

One-sided battle

Never can win

But I can’t give up this fight

Battered and bruised now

My heart’s giving in

I failed to make this alright

Search for salvation

My sanctuary

Retreat into my own mind

But hope’s an illusion

My demons await me

Nightmares are all I find

I can be stronger

I will overcome this

It’s just a matter of time

When all’s said and done though

The question remains is:

Will I leave my soul behind?

You have a talent, a big one! Ever thought about writing a poetry book and getting it published?
You could do one similar to Shel Silverstein, "Where the sidewalk ends"...
Somebody would sign you in a heartbeat, just work on your grammar a little bit. You tend to repeat words.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I definitively do repeat words a lot- you'll find it commonly in.. read more

Your doubt is false. Talent is there, Trust me. Stay strong, stay confident, and keep writing.
I relate to this a lot right now. I enjoyed reading it. :)

Its a battle that is hard to win. We might lose soo much. The question is it worth it.
