Fair Warning

Fair Warning

A Poem by Tasteless Heart

Hello Holy Mother, hold me
I forget the things you told me
All those times I should have listened
Now these signs I've gone and missed them

The murky shadows won't stop coming
I'm so scared I can't stop running
Now I don't know where I'm going
The path to take is beyond knowing

And as I lay me down to rest
This hurt and anger on my chest
If I should die before I wake
Just one last thing I'd like to take...

Your mind, your love, your sanity
All those things you took from me
This burning wound it will not mend
Its only cure must be revenge.
