with daddy issues & a jackhammer

your ink

a mixture 

of nightshade & cyanide

seeped from your lips

& into my pores

in [toxic] ating me.....

nicotine scented swirls

& ethanol procured smiles

lead to ecstasy induced spasms

little deaths

of my soul

-- ohhhhhhhhhh... i think i was high on the same poison for more than six years... -- these "little deaths of the soul" (sheer genius in poetic expression by the way and glad you shed more light on this expression in this second reference)... mutilate the mind in more than a million ways... until one reads words by a poet like you... and one realizes that there's life beyond these excruciating moments... -- i think it has to do with how brutally beautiful poetry somehow takes the brutality out of such experiences...
