Stopping Love

Rough times in Shangri-la...

 

My love for you is killing me
I can’t seem to make it go away
I can’t stop loving everything about you
It hurts more and more each day
After the pain and suffering
The frustration and tears
After I put myself through Hell
Losing you is my number one fear

I stay awake at night and cry
I move like a zombie through the day
I’m trying to make myself stop loving you
But there doesn’t seem to be a way
You’ve guilted me after accepting me
Isolated me, so I isolated you
I’ve constantly been lonely
All of this, and my love is still true

It hurts so much even at the best times
That little voice still shouting in my mind
Telling me since day one we won’t last
Telling me since day one, you will never be mine
But still I gave you my heart
I told you to always keep it safe
I’m still waiting for you to give me yours
I swear it wouldn’t be a waste

This is why I can’t stop loving you
I gave you my heart and all my might
And now you stand there blankly staring
Holding my heart and squezing too tight

I swear, it flows so perfectly! The meter, it's kind of a slow trot and then near the end of each stanza it picks up as you sum it all up! It's impeccable!
