A Poem by tbwdtw

I know what you want to say
I'll stray from your hollow ways
I'll fall from grace, always
Let's dance in the sun's rays
On top of our former graves
Do you know why we're here?

Let's die for the last time
Destroy all that is mine
and break the walls of time
Have you lived all these years?

We'll drown in holy water
Like all else who saught her,
cursed her, and fought her
Is the end really near?

Let's sink to the bottom,
sinking, burnt and rotten
to places forgotten,
Our fragile skin falling
through crackling bones
Do you want to disappear?

Wade through cinders that fill up our chests
Catching insects I know we'll infect
With the meals we steal from the blessed.
They'll connect. We'll be suspects.

I'm scratching pictures behind your eyes
And feeding the flies with our lies.
I know they'd leave with our demise,
but do you know you're invincible?

I'm catching signals that flow through your veins
Stealing your eyes, breath, life, and pain.
And as cinders flow through the rain...
We'll be the last to remain.
