Night Sky: The Moon

Night Sky: The Moon

A Poem by tcblackwell
"

This poem describes the Moon and its perspective on mankind.

"
O silver-crested Guardian of Heaven
Shining Eye above
Soaring disc
We call the Moon
What is it like to see us,
From among the stars?

To see the good and the evil
To notice love and hate
To know the same things
Adam and Eve knew
After they ate from the Tree

Seeing not just from another perspective
But an inhuman one
For one world to see another
I cannot comprehend
If only we saw eye
To Silver-Eye

If I could be
One of the countless stars
In your Heavenly Host
And see what you see
I can't say
I would ever go back
