Everything in Between

Everything in Between

A Poem by tcblackwell

I look out
Over the hills
Beyond the trees
And everything
In between

The sun is beginning to set
As its rays dance
Over the hills
Beyond the trees
And everything
In between

I begin to think
How far can I look?
And how far can I go?

Was our world really created
For us to frolic
Like there's no tomorrow?
Or is there a stopping point,
A limit to our ventures

"What are you thinking about?"
Someone carelessly asks
"Oh, mundane things,"
I carelessly reply
Not realizing
That no thought is mundane
