Home

This is something I came up with when I was in high school back in 2008.

Home

It is said, “Home is where the heart lies.”

Home is a place to belong.

Home can be anything

The land of one’s birth,

Where one grew up, or

Where one simply call’s home.

Everyone should have a place to call home.

 

A home is a sanctuary.

Every now and then we all think of home.

A home does not have to be a building.

It can be where you feel welcomed and wanted.

Amongst family or friends one may be at home.

Your words are very true. I had many places I have called home. Like you said in your poem. Home is where you feel safe and have family and friends near.
