Watching

Watching

A Poem by tessa victoria

Watching.

She tries to not stare.

She ends up looking down,

Like she just did an embarrassing dare.

She ends up not remembering why she looked

That’s how long she’s been like that.

Her tongue gets all tangled when asked why

She just wanted to get up and have a chat.

Her mind dances with thoughts

Words, sayings, memories.

She tries to ignore them

So her mind can be empty.

Her eyes are wonderers.

Doesn’t know where they are going.

Closed for the night monsters.

They are watching.
