Hate

Hate

A Poem by The High Poet

Hate

When your life is full of hate
You rob yourself of being great
Poisoning your soul from deep inside
Pushed down deep so it may hide

But then it shows its ugly face
And everyone thinks you're a disgrace
Don't they know that hate is taught
I guess it's something they forgot

Must rid myself of this poisonous hate
Open up my heart and let love guide my fate

I like the rhythm of the poem and the words you used, but I feel that there is so much more that you can add on to such a powerful emotion. Overall still a good poem.
