The Sentence

The Sentence

A Poem by A. Highly. Addictive. Substance.

"The Sentence"

The clock haunts me like the doubt,
That surrounds what once was love,
Angel's songs have become silent,
As their purpose is lost and gone.

These buried questions are left unanswered,
This confusion can hardly breathe,
These wounds are left to be unattended,
I lay paralyzed and watch them bleed.

I can crawl, but my destination lies far ahead,
I'm doomed to die before I mend.

I'm sentenced to life without love.
