Rushin'

Rushin'

A Poem by Sara Henry Heistand
"

A one night stand in perspective.

"

I’m awakenin

to the brush of heat

the slow crawl

causin the spaces

between

to anticipate

the shiver

I arch that spine Into your

field pullin my eyes

                        Into my skull

unsheath the torrent spillin rushin collision

bringing down the dark matter

            dividing

            the wave

Collide collapse coincide

            The realization

To leave it to dawn to

            The decision

Of how we’ll feel about all this in the mornin.

About
