Notes on Faith

Notes on Faith

A Poem by J. Land
"

"Philosophy in disguise..."

"
By their nature
The faithful attempt
Proof of the unproven
The unbeliever
Proof of the negative

To deny with logic
What exists outside logic

Is

Color without vision
Sound without hearing
Love without emotion
Age without time

Faith by definition
Inspires belief without proof
A folly to those
Who must be burned by the Sun
Before they stand in the shade

A very true point, faith is not but a word, an emotion, or even a belief, it is in your very soul, those you who seek irrefutable proof are forever blind, until they first look with their soul. A favorite quote of mine, actually its a paraphrase from the novel 'The Stand' by Stephen King.

Ralph Brentner reads Nick Androse's note to Mother Abigail. “Nick say he don''t believe in God.”

Mother Abigail, “Bless you child, it don't matter, he believes in you.”
