Don’t obsess!

 

Perfection:

An illusion;

Is a tell tale to wonder.......!!!

 

BE......

Flawed, cherish!

 

Beauty:

A perception;

Is projection of character.......!!!

 

Ideal.....

Could be chased; bordered.

 

But a flaw:

In all its glory..........

A true miracle to ponder......!!!

 

Ahead.....

Ahead you move.

Flaunt......

All your flaws!

Like those dimples,

On perfect cheeks:

Everything.

Is Beautifully Flawed!

i had this idea and i started working on it.....this was the end result. I might reattempt this. Until then, sharing this.......suggestions invited.

This was so different and I absolutely LOVED it. The format and the message. You are correct, beauty is a perception and everything and everyone has flaws, whether they are clear to see on the outside, or deeper in their character. But no matter what, we are still beautiful creatures. Well done!

I don't feel I need to compliment the message, everyone else who's commented has been pretty much spot on! I love how the detached lines--left and right--come together in the last stanza, crystallising the theme and intent with total clarity.
At the end of the day we enter these competitions to get read. This deserves to do very well, because this deserves to be read!

Interesting experiment and a great message. It's hard to find flaws in the perfection-saturated media. I was actually thinking about this the other day. It seems like all the "beautiful people" are looking more and more the same. They have all their "flaws" surgically removed. They wear the same styles, the same make up and hair. They're having any sign of uniqueness eliminated. I wondered whose ideal of beauty they were all trying to acquire? And, why all the plastic surgeons seem to have the same template?

wow.......i do think the same......everybody seems to be the copy of other.......they are like, brainwashed or something......they hate uniqueness!!! ITS THE CONFORMITY CONSPIRACY!!! hope......someone talks some sense into them!!!
