Sham of Oblivion

Sham of Oblivion

A Poem by Raunak Agarwal
"

To open the 'Johari Window'- interview with your arena and dark, stripping off the garb of judgements- standing naked to one's feelings of remoting self from the self.

"

I know not you, neither me….

Its from others’ eyes, myself I see.

I care not what ought be my game,

Its sad that its you, who make my name!

I know its wrong to judge myself,

Inspite being Santa, I feel like elf…

I wish I could come out more like me,

Not being forced to pay the societal fee.

I want not be on the airplane seat,

But to walk the road and count my beat.

To justify me in my own eyes’ self,

But why do I ponder, why do I delve???

Validation I seek, introvert I am,

But ain’t the show business all a sham!!

You look at me and judge my looks,

But fail to read my soul-mind books.

Well! Words do lie, and so does sight,

But you don’t believe in the aural might.

I know, in vain do, do I write…

Its not just me, but also your plight!

Oh! Shun the veil, and make us free,

Don’t you yearn for organic pree?

The stage is set, and so the tone,

But burnt you have, the true self scone…

I know not you, neither me…

Its from other’s eyes, am I forced myself to see!!!
