Memories

Memories

A Poem by *joy*

See the rainbowed sky
The colors in array
Mixed with subtle clouding
Feel the gentle breeze
As it lifts your hair
Moments of peaceful bliss

You’ll remember when
Our lips gently brushed
When the sun was slowly setting
You will not forget
The beat of silent stares
The breeze caressed your face

Even now I want
Even now I wish
To return to sun-set shorelines
I’d embrace your frame
I would sing to you
If I could take you back

Every second ticks
Every moment counts
Unlike you, they will not perish
They will linger on
Encased in memory’s glass
The perfect gift from above

It has been too long
Since we felt a breeze
Or saw the colored skyline
But what we felt is safe
Locked up in our core
Forever in our minds

I have your picture hung
In a crystal star
Above my heart that’s beating
Life has taught us well
The time of clocks can’t tell
What we had, it never fades
Love, it never fades away
