A Mans Walk

A Mans Walk

A Poem by J. Storm

Lost time looking at the world through crimson eyes
Into the dark distance we peer
Away you go another goodbye
Shadows swirl around me whispering fear
Talking to this memory
Somewhere you sit alone
In a house that isn't a home
Dried riverbeds of tears stain the dark part of my mind
Hollowed fingers reach out to the fray
Leaving us all behind
Using the rage of our youth today
To get through the tomorrow that is a gamble
Life swirled around by lies
Causing me to sit and ramble
