Volition

Volition

A Poem by theunionisloud

I'm going to dance with this clock.
And determined as it may be
to force its pulse upon me
I insist on leading.

Its constancy will be
Considered.
But I am not constant as the clock

Perhaps my heart will
Synchronize
upon its incessant
suggestion
But as soon as this knowledge finds itself
burrowed
beneath my spirit

It will have never happened.

brilliant!! that fiendish clock haunts are moves, one step ahead and one behind in its mastery of the now, the past and the future - it watches, before it takes, ultimately leading our way whether we fight it or not!! very good!!!

Time is a man-made concept. Or at least the idea of keeping time. And it reigns over our entire world. Every decision we make, every step we take...it is all based on the hands of that clock. Your spirit won't be lassoed in and puppetted around. You've got plans for your life that just won't coalesce with the tickety-tock. I think that is insanely groovy. And even more like you, you describe life as a dance rather than a trudging trip around the planet.

Love.It.
