A Rose With Thorns

A Rose With Thorns

A Poem by Wildwood Fox

A rose so beautiful and delicate.
So sweet, so deadly.
A prick on the finger for those who touch.
A small sense of victory for those who are cut.
So sweet and light!
So sweet even when hidden in the night.
A bud blooms a new,
Always enticing you.
A rose for your love,
A thorn for you.
A flower that dies,
A finger that bleeds.
A prick on the finger for those who touch.
So sweet, so deadly to those who want.
Watch those thorns sweet one,
Lest you be the one to get cut.
