Reality

Reality

A Poem by Sarah Marie

Hating oneself-
Is this blasphemy,
Made in the image of
One perfect and complete-
Dream far away,
Sweetest eternity.
Can’t understand
My presence, why am I here
In a world of dust and sand?
Pain is infinity
It seems, torment reality;
In a world of travesty
Put on by a beaten society,
All that remains is animosity.
There is no hope in conformity-
The worst of fears a likely possibility
In this world of tears and plague.
