Green

Green

A Story by tiefightersunite

Sitting at a red light. He watches the girl in the car next to his,

Singing her heart out. Her old ford is green, its bumper peppered with colorful stickers.

As he watches, her face changes from carefree to utter sadness with one drawn out note;

She continues to sing, her face changing again to determined, and the intensity in her

Makes him want to shout. A tear gathers at the corner of her eye and falls, slowly,

As her music reaches its loudest. She sniffles and wipes it away impatiently as the light turns

Green.

Green car, blue girl, absolute gold.
