she walks in stilettos

she walks in stilettos

A Poem by tiefightersunite
"

parody of lord byron's 'she walks in beauty'

"

She walks in stilettos, in the red light,

Of blinking neon signs and smoggy skies

And all that’s worst in the dark of night

Met her scantily clad and over kohled eyes

Hardly mellowed, nearly full with fright,

I bought that which is, in day, I would deny.

One shade the more of the rouge on her cheek

Would have half impaired my eyes with disgust,

And the waves in her golden tresses did reek

Of her every long night here tangled in lust;

I set in my mind that if only once a week,

I could stand the filth, at least for her lovely bust.

And in that bed, and then on the floor,

So harsh, so coarse, so rough to my skin

Her moans that win, heard outside the door,

That tell in night, hardly a goddess’ kin;

My mind at peace in the arms of a w***e

A heart whose love is far from innocent!
