Evil Cast Upon Me

Evil Cast Upon Me

A Poem by Tierra Starr

I was never warned of my inevitable fate

A life full of foreboding,

But I was still led to the gate

With my presence near, all the bells started to ring

The future is inescapable,

And soon it becomes the past,

Lurking behind you

Then grabbing at you fast

I dismantled my protection long ago,

In false thoughts that I was ok

Got too high, something they call an ego

Should’ve known not to stay

The wicked witch smiles at me,

As she knows she has won

My bitter end, I won’t be free

This miserable life cannot be undone

Darkness and evil were always on my side,

Now I know it will not save

Me but it’s taken all my pride

And it’s now time to lie in my grave

A grave I have dug for my unfathomable sin

This hole in the ground looks so tempting

But I cannot just let the wicked witch win

So, on this day I will finally stand up and sing

Hi Starr, This is an interessing pice, I don't know what was so wrong or sinful. But seems we all have regress of some sort. I, My self never though Ego was a bad thing, but surely have one, Maybe bigger than most. Surly in my writings I exersice it. Thinking maybe I've stubled over something unkee in the words on a page. Some times it's like a net, flying thought the air and catching some thing unseen. But I like the pice and the use of good words. That seem to reach. Take care. Joe

The torment within the words clear the palate to recieve a most poignant message of geared intolerance,w ell done, good read.
