After dark

After dark

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya

I fell into darkness, is this just a dream
My eyes are moving rapidly can I see
The owl remains silent, I can't believe.
The demons begin to.prowl, can this be.
Luner presents moves by the hour
Without light there is no power
Angels sing without son no fight
But sun broke through the trees
Fear put aside, the demons
Began to hide as the birds sang
In rhythm, the sun will shine again.
And then I awoke in a better day.
I pray thank God it was just a dream.
