What Would You Do?

 

What would you do if your friend was in danger?

And you had no way to help.

If she was about to fall?

And you didn't know if you were strong enough to catch her.

 

What would you do if you were panicking inside?

But your inner turmoil might cause her harm.

If she wasn't able to cry out?

So you were the only one who could hear.

 

What would you do if you heard yourself taking control?

But you didn't realize it was you.

If your mind was barely registering what was going on?

But everyone else said you were like a hero.

 

What would you do if you wanted to sink down against the wall?

But you had to be strong for everyone else.

If your legs could bearly support your body?

And all you wanted to do was cry?

 

What would you do if you were worried she wasn't okay?

But you had to reassure everyone else that she would be.

If you were far away from her?

While you wanted to be by her side.

 

In that moment that lasted an eternity...
