Dusk

Dusk

A Poem by Choosing Life
"

At the perfect moment and then no more~

"

Before this day ends and night does so gently approach,
Blending in with the day sky painting beauty across with dusk…
Let me pray tell you,
How simply remarkable I find you to be.
And before the transition fully takes place,
Might I anoint your head with the oil of my love?
Might I have the pleasure of placing upon your head a crown of honor,
And mark you Kingly, for you are to me the truest valiant Knight?
And might I be so bold as to kneel before you,
Speaking of how much you remind me that greatness does indeed live and breathe?
And might I kiss of your hands and hold them,
Or perhaps hold your heart,
Or better yet kiss your soul with the life in me?
The incense of your soul lifts me with delicate touchings of love.
Let me honor this time before it slips away and offer you the truth in my heart,
That on tomorrow I may not have the courage to utter…
May I speak into your spirit Hope?
And may I travel your dreams just for the now?
For I will not be so bold or foolish to expect more than this second.
Yet I must be wise enough to let my heart console you now.
And would you be so generous as to allow me to lay my head tenderly on your lap,
Savoring this moment as a miracle unfolding…
As I speak not of earthly ramblings,
Because this birthing is beyond the grasp of my mind.
This is an infinite scope of grace bestowed upon my soul,
To come to know God through you…
At this second be confident that your mark is forever in me.
I will walk away at some point but I shall be more the better,
For every pleasurable instant I spent loving and knowing you~

Sublime serenity. The ecstasy you felt when you wrote this spills into the mind of the reader. It's an inspired and inspiring piece of writing. It feels totally 'right'. People facing difficulty -- for whatever reason -- might really get a lift from this. It is powerful in a modest way. A beacon.

You have SUCH a way about you, Tish. I think your poetry is marvelous.

This poem is such a great piece, b/c the theme coincides w/other, more intimate feelings. Dusk is the equivalent to becoming new; but we know that yesterday never fully leaves us.

Dope piece.

I will not leave such a long comment, for it would not be just, but may I just pause for a second before I say.................................... Beautiful.. =)

Love,
Me

You paint with words. And the product becomes beauty. I love the line, "I will walk away at some point but I shall be more the better, for every pleasureable instant I spent loving and knowing you."
