mist

mist

A Poem by CHRIS ANDES
"

..feel the rain...

"
Previous Version
This is a previous version of mist.

why does rain collides with pain?
in every drop
there is solitude,
with every fall
there's the cold.

even a love song
sings with this feelin',
within this drizzle
just like 'walking in the rain'
or listen to the 'thunder'.

victims of unhoped for future,
unspoken truth and betrayal
drowned with tears
of foolishness, of innocence..
all flow with the rain.

thunderin' sound
of heartbeats broken,
lightning from dark
dreams of uncertainty
sparks never- ending

sudden stops of rain fallin'
swiftly dissolved from heaven
left I, with silver mist
rolled down...
from my own cheeks.

"just like 'walking in the rain" wordplay!!!! awesome! my only critique is that in the first paragraph, shouldn't it be "Why does rain collide with pain?" and not, "why do rain collides with pain?". that was the only mistake i caught and other than that nice work, i personally love the rain.

The grammar of the first line was a little off putting but I'm glad i read this through. It's a good poetic metaphor; deep and well carried through :)
