Yesternight

Yesternight

A Poem by Tom Q

I live not to spiritually grow

Am I not responsible for me?

A rising star for all to loath

Man unto himself, no one else

In my black soul arose new light

Love benevolently burning bright

With these new eyes I see true

The peace from humility I never knew

Setting down my ego so large

Stars like me surrender at dawn

Love does give us new eyes and make the world shine a little brighter. We lose our pride to humility and see the new dawn with hope. Well written!
