Gentle

Gentle

A Poem by Nisreen

Soft as a whisper
Lights turned down

All the voices gone
Touching a cloud of heaven

Holding me close
A free air

Wings flutter
Tongues ravish

Skin deep as innocently placed
A sunshine

Cheeks sink
Eyes widen in belief

The white chiffon
untied bows

Hair golden brown
On summer breeze

Window open
Vision of crispy sand

No paris or Rome
A home

You've presented a somewhat disconnected flow of vivid sensory observations (for me) . . . not feeling it come together as a cohesive statement, making me feel "HOME!" so much. But I very much applaud this poem for offering fresh, unusual details, instead of the old worn-out ideas.

-- ohhhhh... -- i struggle to describe that indescribable feeling of home... but you've unleashed it with magical images... -- i marvel at your skills and sensitivity and they inspire me to write better... :)
