Free Will: A matter of Choice

Man has been liberated 

by choice

To freely choose

A path of life

unlike many other creatures

that live 

We think

An acoustic sound

Skies filled with souls

The choices

Worrying for nothing

Burning outer space

A human race

striking many matches

in desolation

raising them into a fire

of will

reaching the heights of human

Skies

The beauty of 

remembrance

Calling out for 

peaceful resolutions

Raising a glass

of life

Something runs wild

into a character filled dream

like the age old tree

marking the years

in wider circles

filling the scope of humanity

Wow. So true. Free will comes with choices and responsibilities toward ourselves and our fellow man , nature, animals and so forth. We have to be good stewards...An excellent message and poem....:)))

yes! free will ...and oh the choices that have been made ..over and over and over again ... some good ..and some not so good ... really appreciate the tree rings metaphor in closing ..or is that personification ...i get them mixed up all the time ;) (not by choice)

I saw bad places and I saw useless death. Today, few are calling for peace. I wish I knew how to make concern, compassion and kindness over separation, hate and violence. A very philosophical poem.

As always, very tenderly written, with a natural, free flowing eloquence, a stream of ideas that all flow seamlessly into the next.
Free will.....certainly one of the greatest gifts of humanity. We would be so restricted in our attitudes and experience without it, and certainly not any wiser.
