CONTRASTS

CONTRASTS

A Poem by Llee Hill
"

inspired by Eccl 7:14 When things are going well for you, be glad, and when trouble comes, just remember: God sends both happiness and trouble; you never know what is going to happen next.

"
Life is all about contrasts.
One minute you're so happy,
The next, you're so sad.

One moment you're laughing so hard,
The next, you're crying relentlessly.

One moment, you're exchanging friendly greetings,
The next, you're waving sad goodbyes.

One moment, you're singing joyfully,
The next, you're weeping sorrowfully.

One moment, you're jumping up and down,
Boasting of good health,
The next, you can barely crawl.

One moment, everyone loves you,
The next, everyone hates you.

One moment, you can't wait to live,
The next, you wish you could just die.

One moment, you're burning with faith,
The next, you're frozen with fear.

The balance of life is like the two sides of a coin.
When it flips to the good side, enjoy,
And when it turns to the bad side, consider!
But remember never to mix the two!
