Leaves

Leaves

A Poem by ...
"

snippets for fall

"

Maples riot red

bonfire embers glow

First frost

a leaf beyond the fire

October breeze rustling under leaves a chipmunk

And one for spring too, what the hell...

Flowers burst

from trembling trees

chill spring winds

It's always a pleasure! In reverse, thank you for sharing such a lovely piece. :)
oh, the whispering trees, the songs in the breeze (the occasional sneeze)...and the Maples, yes, out my rear window the grandmother of maples spreads its glory over half an acre, and i am always half lost in the trees, so many talking all at once, even the silences are loud...

I love trees :) All the life and stories they have... Thank you Ed for gracing my page
I love your dynamic word play on how leaves must be for people who live in areas that have visible seasons. Here in California, rather than turning leaves, it's the way the air feels, a subtle change, but oh so welcome when the dampness of autumn replaces the dry hot oven of summer! *smile* Even tho your poem covers more than autumn, I'm still feeling the mostly autumn message: "October breeze rustling under leaves a chipmunk" (playful & visual).
