Gone

Gone

A Poem by Treble

Every time I try to catch a breath,
I'm breathless.
Every time I try to take a step,
I'm frozen.
Every time I try to rise an inch,
I'm fallen.

I hear a distant voice,
so I call out to the wind in reply.
But the voice I hear is just an echo
of a girl I once knew.
I call her name,
but she answers only in my memory.
