Lead Me

Another day, time, place
Before I was saved that’s what I would say.
Constantly cautious, careful when treading
Doubting the desire welling in me.
Eagerness envelops me
I feel firmly planted on the foundation of His truth.
Grateful for God’s grace and grasping every opportunity.
Often my grip slips but He holds me
Handling my heart carefully.
Instructions may vary but for God
I’ll carry.
With the reminder that I am justified through Jesus
Kneeling before my knight
Lead me, Lord, and my light will shine bright.
Make me over, a mirror of You.
Need outweighs want, Your word is a necessity.
Oblivious to the obstacles, the temptation that’s pressing.
Persevering through it all, praising God because all things are possible.
Quitting is not an option
I am redeemed and ready to obey.
Responding wherever You may guide me
Standing firm in my faith.
Situations come but my sight is set higher
Take me through the fire.
Lead me and direct my life.
