Little Do You Know

Little Do You Know

A Poem by Mortricia
"

It's sad when some find themselves to be so much more cunning than those around them.

"

For someone who despises
Lies so dearly
You sputter them out
Ever so clearly

Wiping your footprints as you walk
You think your path is wiped clean
Little do you know
She see's everything

Her innocence, you took for granted
Only because you think it's yours
The only thing she wanted
Was another's shoulder, evermore

Instead, you treat her as an extra
Just another pawn
So she may have to finally stop playing
This neverending song

So little do you know,
You've been found out
Your trail of deception
Is now a candle that's burnt out.

Great ending!
Your poem is so applicable to the many people out there who think they're brilliantly deceptive.
I hope they all get to read this poem and have second thoughts before they break another person's heart.
Thanks for sharing!

Very direct and to the point. I like the last line, Is now a candle that's burnt out...
pretty much wraps up your point. Well done.

Oooh, great piece. Short and to the point. I like the bluntness you wrote this one with. Great job.

Honest , the rhyme scheme seemed to work against the poem but the content and ending line where awsome
