The Mime

The Mime

A Poem by KeelyJane

Everybody feels pain
No one dies without a scar
We all are colored melancholy
different shades of who we are

Each one of us has lay beneath a dark sky pillow
and seen the storm surround our flowers
We have all been picked and vased
dripping sorrow in midnight showers

Every one gets hurt
all of us black and blue painted
We all know sadness
been introduced and well acquainted
We all play the mime
I feel your pain
as you feel mine

I am one who is haunted by Dickinson. So forgive me if so many poets here sound like her. Which has
little to do with her and everything to do with me.

The last stanza was, in fact, Dickinsonian as she also would use distinctiveness and apartness
to detail an action or event. This is very nicely written.
Who gives a s**t about spelling.

Hmm, right off the bat, I'm reminded, in contrast, of a proverb that says that in the nation of suffering, every man is a stranger. Maybe because we can all suffer the same things, but no two people will hurt the same way, like the old saying that you can never step into the same river twice. Does that ring true for you in some way?

The universal human experience. I would like to be optimistic and believe there is something bright that is also universal. Nicely done.

I love when a poem speaks to the obvious so well! Often times, we are blessed to see a good reminder of life that is so well penned.

Nice one with wise reflections, but as Eric Idle says: Always look on the bright side of life!
