Vertigo Masquerade

Vertigo Masquerade

A Poem by KeelyJane
"

This is a collaborated piece between myself and Bpoet.

"

A phantom of the vespers

    my vertigo psyche emerges
unveiling the vagaries of my mood
Unsuited for a pedestal

too proud to frolic equal ground
           please pardon my intrepid intrude

Maybe once in a lifetime

will you encounter such a vixen

a force that may or may not hurt you

I like the depths of my intentions

      mysterious deep and wide

shallows not one of my virtues

Perhaps vicarious

      motive is always an intrigue

              ulterior or otherwise

In the foreshadow of my wayward presence

      there is reason

              the mask of all surprise

Why do i get the feeling we once sat across from one another in a game of Black Jack Tennessee, its a fun game. Every card dealt, you take a shot, every chip, another shot. But there is always one clear mind. And Miss Keely Jane, i think you just hit Black Jack.

KeelyJ, I like this but, to be honest with you, even after several reads and ponderings, I really cannot say that I get it. You win this round. I understand the title; it is the poem that throws be a-kilter!

I really like this piece. seems like instead of trying to prove a point with your words, you are showing the oddities of the world as you see it. showing that life isn't this clear defined goal so much as blurred mixing of grey, red, and crude lines... only thing id like to see you do is maybe take a prose and write longer in this style on that chosen prose... maybe write some scarlette stories like I do where you are writing in this way about a character or story

I shall engage my radar when in your sphere lest I fall under some kind of nefarious spell. Your friend in words, Pete
