Bring on the Storm

Bring on the Storm

A Poem by Victoria Nakis

Here comes the storm again

The black clouds are rolling in

Blocking out where the sun had been

Lightning attacks hoping to win

And the rain starts to fall.

Maybe this time it will take me,

This time the storm will succeed

Perhaps it is time to drown in the sea…

Thunder clashes; a warning received

The battle has begun.

I haven’t given up before

So I won’t give up just yet

I’ll fight with all I’ve got, and more.

I’m not afraid of rain or getting wet

Bring on the storm, I’m prepared to fight.

Really liked this piece. You write this in its raw and pure form of emotion. Very well done and the choice of words is quite good. I prefer to seperate myself from my writing when emotions come in.

Well done

This is great! The emotions were raw, and they were there will full force. Everyone has felt a storm at one time or another, and I think this poem sums up the internal battle that you go through when the storm is rolling in.
I hope to read more of your work

My name is Victoria. I've lost touch with writing lately, but it's always been a passion. It's my favorite outlet when the feelings I have can't be contained. I'm not particularly good at poetry.. more..
