Belong

Belong

A Poem by underthemask

Just a little girl losing her mind
in a world where she doesn't belong.
Small and fragile,
A mirror on the outside but
the colors within are so vibrate and real.
She speaks the same language
but no on understands her,
not in the black and white world,
with their suites and their ties.
She dresses to fit the part
but inside a part of her dies.

Just a small girl losing her mind
in a world she will never belong.
Quite and scared.
Her words have been hushed
the voice of a mind forever tied down
Longing to escape and find what she dreams,
but she bends and she twist
to fit in the box.

She just wants to belong.

There is much beneath the mask you wear, dear poet. The wounds on your soul are a field of poetic blossoms waiting to bloom; yet the wounds on your soul are a horrible tragedy. I am sorry for the things you had to endure. Humans cause more sorrow that all the natural disasters and all diseases combined. Natural disasters and diseases are not always avoidable, but evil human behavior is 100% preventable, but human monsters still exist and still inflict tragedies. I hope you are gaining strength, dear poet.

Just another face in the crowd that no one would notice. However thats just my mask. The part of me I show to the world. No one would suspect I used to smoke crack or shoot heroin, that I would spend .. more..
