Persistence

When life gets you down

When will life take a break?

A rest from painful things.

My life seems torn and

Tattered.

Body ripped limb from limb.

One thing, and then another

Pulling each vital...

String.

I get up, then fall again.

Lie naked on the ground,

For all the world to see my

Shame.

My life unravelling fast,

They point, they laugh they snigger.

To hide from their own

Faults.

All I can do is try once more.

Get up

And start

Again.

Title caught my attention--
You capture a harsh reality with vivid and provocative imagery.
Like the hopeful or persevering ending.
I suppose all anyone can do is "try".
"try" the seeds of tommorow lay within that word.

Good poem, I think you speak for many and I too can relate to your words. I like the fact that you ended the way you did. To get up and start again is always a challenge but we must do it.
