Bully

i was going to school. listening to the classic rock station here. bully by shinedown came on. i had no idea what it was but loved the song. i looked it up after school. what it was doing on a CLASSIC rock station i have no idea but im glad it was. it inspired this. this poem isnt that good but i like it. thoughts?

Author's Note

When I was younger I walked away
But now when I see a bully
I try to stop the fiend
And I don't know why
But they're scared of me
I've grown stronger from ROTC
And now I hope they see
The pain these kids go through
So much that its nothing new
They bruise
Black and blue
For nothing but being themselves
For whom does toll the bells
When their time is here
The bullies will be filled with fear
When they die
No-one will cry
All they're ever be
Is a faded memory
Of a bully
The scars they leave
That the victims heave
Is all that's left behind
From that cruel bind
That was the bully
Now all that they see
Is the faded memory
And they thank me
A bully is why
So many people cry
And so many die
The prick makes a joke
And that kid hangs the rope
Its a sad life
Filled with strife
They need a hero or a saint
That will drive away the taint
So why do you walk away
Like you didn't see it all
You do it everyday
You saw that kid fall
From the blow
He said he had a tripp
But you know
He was hit
You still don't say a thing
Don't you feel that sting
Its you being guilty
Why don't you rise
Make the prick face his lies
Fight the bully
Start saving lives
Don't sit and be guilty

The song that you listened to... I love it. I nearly cried the first time I heard it. It's quite epic. And personal.

As for the poem, I like it Harley. A lot. This was my favorite part though.

I've noticed classic rock stations incorporating modern rock too... maybe not as big of a market for straight classics. Who knows...
